Hello fellow Bloggers,
For this month i wanted to take in a suggestion of a movie that i was given, but i changed my mind because I saw a movie, which truly captivated me. This movie is "Seven Pounds” staring will Smith. Seven pounds, what does that bring to mind? Seven Pounds of sugar, the weight of a kid, or maybe weight of small TV. Well No in the movie Seven Pounds, will Smith is a man who set out to change the life of seven strangers.
“Seven Pounds” is a difficult movie to understand. You must pay attention to what is happening word by word. In the beginning of the movie he is wet, tired, and desperate. In a hotel room he calls 911 his exact words in the call are,” I need an ambulance, that’s room number 2, there’s been a suicide, and I am the victim...” The beginning of the movie begins with the ending. Will smith in the movie begins being a cold heartless man. He has nothing to live for. Through out the whole movie it is like he is searching for something like redemption. You may ask yourself redemption for what? Well they do not explain until the middle of the movie that it was his fault his wife and son along with a another family of five died. He was a successful man which attended MIT, he had a good life and he ruined his life by something as careless as checking his email. I believe that this movie is truly an astounding movie; this movie contains a lot of meaning and a lot of heart. Through out the movie he dedicates himself to finding seven people whose life he can change.
Now about the rhetoric, In Seven Pounds Will Smith uses astounding devices in order to achieve his goal and finding the seven people who he believes deserve the change that he will bring upon them. He is trying to find people who he believes are “good”. He uses pathos to play with there feelings in order to see the reactions that will be brought upon the other. Through out the movie you can also see ethos in one occasion, which is when he goes to the hospital, and the man is treating the patients inhumanly in order to get a revenue. He used his view of a respectable doctor and a leader to almost trick will smith into helping him with the debts he has. “Seven Pounds” is a must see. I truly recommend this movie to anyone who believes in the magic of movies and there powers to influence others.

Hernan -- Don't be sloppy. "For this month i wanted to take in a suggestion of a movie that i was given, but i..." Use the shift key.
Hey there Hernancito,
lmao! You are so lame! But that was a really good movie. It made me tear up and don't deny that you didn't tear up a little either!
You should warn people about spoilers though. But, you can't explain the rhetoric about a movie if a person doesn't even know what the movie is about.
I must say that your blogs are improving. Though you should captilize your 'I's.
in response to your comment: that is why you should read these books. You might not have heard of them, but it's best to read them that way you're in for a surprise. And everyone loves surprises!
Any time you want, I'll talk you to Barnes and Noble and help you pick out books. Really really good books. And I've got membership, so discounts! Or, if you want, I've got a library card.
Either or, read more!!
Hi Panchito.
I can't believe you chose this movie. I have to admit this movie was better than i expected. Now, let me challenge you (think you're man enough for it?), what does "Seven Pounds" have to do with the movie itself?
Also, fix some of your grammar. For example "staring Will Smith", we do not necessarily stare at Will Smith, but he's STARRING in it.
(I swear, Ebenezer teared up during the movie!)
I wonder what next month's movie is. Good Job.
Dear Hernan,
It seems as this movie was really good by the few descriptions that you gave about it. Thank you for kind of telling me what the movie was about because I wanted to see it. It seems as if Will Smith's character used a lot of appeals towards the people he determined himself to safe their lives. With Will Smith making this decision it seems as if he was trying to make up for what he feels was his fault and that must be really sad.
I haven't seen this movie so i can say anything about it. I do however have a better understanding of what it is about. I really can't comment on anything other than good job explaining the rhetoric seen in that movie.
Helo Hernan,
I havent seen the movie but you did give a better explanation on what it is about. I would want to see the movie myself even though you kind of said the stuff of what was going to happen. Well your explanation on rhetoric was also good but i guess i wouldve understood it more if ive seen the movie.
Anyways you did a good job in your blog and the movies you put gets more interesting every post. Hope to hear more from your blog.
Hernan,
I have actually never seen this movie but due to your description i feel encourage to go out their and watch it.
In my opinion your next blog should be better

Wow seven pounds...
Well i am a big fan of Will smith. I like how u where talking about the title of the movie. It kind of takes me back on the article we read for Ms. Vernon on how to make a exploting title.I like how u gave examples.
Oh... No, Hernan, I was quoting you to draw your attention to the punctuation, not giving a suggestion ;p
